The Morakniv Bushcraft SRT is a durable outdoor knife with a Sandvik 12C27 partially serrated stainless steel blade, comfortable profiled handle and polymer sheath with grip.The Bushcraft SRT is a camp knife with a 3.2 mm thick and 109 mm long fixed blade (hidden pin) , allowing it to perform most of the tasks you might encounter on a hike or in the woods.The blade is partially serrated , allowing it to cut hard and fibrous materials such as roots, ropes and belts efficiently. The teeth are positioned close to the handle, so you can work with a smooth and serrated edge at the same time.The knife blade is made of the valuable Sandvik 12C27 steel, hardened in the range 56-58 HRC . This Swedish stainless steel has low contamination, high resistance to corrosion and chipping, and a fine carbide structure for very aggressive and efficient cutting and cutting edge strength.The entire blade is coated with a DLC (diamond-like carbon) protective coating. This diamond-like abrasion resistant coating increases wear and corrosion resistance, reduces friction and provides a smoother cut.Unlike carbon steel, stainless steel is virtually maintenance free and requires no maintenance except for dry wiping after washing or use in a humid environment.Scandinavian grinding ensures high durability , a durable work surface and easy sharpening in field conditions.The flat back of the blade is designed with a sharp edge to work with flint.The handle of the knife is made of soft TPE rubber with a non-slip texture.
