The Benchmade 112SBK-BLK is a professional corrosion resistant diving knife developed for the US Navy program. Special purpose The Benchmade 112SBK-BLK has a full-tang (full tang) construction which means it is made from a single piece of steel. The 89 mm long blade has a specialized Opposing Bevel profile , in which 4 zones can be distinguished for different purposes : hook for cutting nets and cables, serrated blade for fibrous materials, smooth blade, safe flat tip. The blade is 3 mm thick at its widest point, covered with a Teflon protective layer. Such parameters guarantee high functionality, durability and reliability of the knife, thanks to which it can be used in a difficult underwater environment. Excellent corrosion resistance The knife is made of Bohler N680 chrome-molybdenum steel with exceptional rust resistance . Steel hardened to a hardness of 58-60 HRC has a high nitrogen content (0.20%), which significantly increases corrosion resistance. A blade made of such steel is wear-resistant, remains sharp for a long time and is relatively easy to sharpen . Austrian N680 steel is an economical alternative to H1 steel with much better cutting edge retention. Comfortable grip The handle of the knife is made of rubberized santoprene material with non-slip texture that ensures a good grip even when wearing gloves. Profiled cutouts for fingers and a hook for a rope increase the safety and comfort of using the knife. Sheath with a lock The set includes a polymer sheath with a blockade mounted on a PFD clip .
