The 36mm long blade is made of 3Cr13 stainless steel hardened to 55-57 HRC. The 3Cr13 steel blade will perform well in everyday use, due to its resistance to corrosion, and ease of sharpening, for which a pocket whetstone is completely sufficient.
The wide sheepfoot profile blade has a stonewashed finish (black oxidation), which effectively masks any scratches or abrasions to the blade from use. Thanks to the use of a strong hilt, concave grind and a cutting edge with a gentle curve, the knife has good cutting qualities and will perform well in simple, everyday tasks. The thickness of the blade at its widest point is 2.3 mm, which is a compromise between durability and functionality of the knife for everyday work.
