The Ganzo Firebird FH11-BK is a folding knife for everyday use, equipped with a D2 tool steel blade, a popular liner block and a lightweight and durable G10 laminate sheath.The typical working point (flat cut) blade has an optimum length of 87 mm, which allows the knife to cope with most tasks we face every day. The blade is made of hard and durable D2 tool steel, hardened to 58-60 HRC .D2 is the most corrosion resistant carbon steel, characterized by high wear resistance, long working life and aggressive cutting. When sharpening, it is recommended to use diamond sharpeners which speed up the whole process considerably.To drive the blade out with one hand, a mart flipper is used which is convenient for right and left handed people. Transverse ribs for stable blade control and a firm grip are also used on the spine of the blade (thumb ramp) and on the liner spacer (back stop).After opening the blade, it is closed with the popular liner lock, a mechanism appreciated for its durability and comfort of use.The handle of the knife is made of a simple sheath of lightweight G10 laminate, a material resistant to mechanical impact, high temperatures and some active chemicals.
