The Ganzo Firebird FH12-SS is a folding knife for everyday use with a D2 tool steel blade with a solid frame-lock and a brushed stainless steel sheath.The Ganzo Firebird FH12-SS is a knife with a rustic finish, achieved thanks to the stone-washed technique of the blade and handle.The optimum length of the blade with a typical working point (flat cut) is 87 mm, which allows the knife to cope with most of the tasks we face every day. The blade is made of hard and durable D2 tool steel, hardened to 58-60 HRC .D2 is the most corrosion resistant carbon steel, characterised by high wear resistance, long working life and aggressive cutting. When sharpening, it is recommended to use diamond sharpeners which speed up the whole process considerably.To drive the blade out with one hand, a mart flipper is used which is convenient for right and left handed people. Transverse ribs for stable blade control and a firm grip are also applied to the spine of the blade (thumb ramp) and the liner spacer (back stop).After the blade is unfolded, it is secured with a monolithic frame lock , a mechanism considered one of the strongest and most reliable in the world.The handle of the knife is made of a simple stainless steel sheath with a stone wash like the blade. This treatment consists of "bathing" the part in grinding stones. The matt surface shows small scratches that perfectly hide any scratches caused by use.Despite the all-steel construction, the knife weighs only 114 g, making it easy to carry every day.
