The Ganzo Firebird FH13-SS is a folding knife for everyday use, equipped with a D2 tool steel blade and a solid frame-lock and thread-brushed stainless steel sheath.The Ganzo Firebird FH13-SS is a knife with a rustic finish, achieved thanks to the stone-washed blade and handle.The typical drop point (flat-cut) blade has an optimum length of 87 mm, which allows the knife to cope with most tasks that we face every day. The blade is made of tough and durable D2 tool steel, hardened to 58-60 HRC .D2 is the most corrosion resistant carbon steel, characterised by high wear resistance, long working life and aggressive cutting. When sharpening, it is recommended to use diamond sharpeners, which speed up the whole process considerably.To drive the blade out with one hand, a mart flipper is used, which is convenient for right and left handed people. Transverse ribs for stable blade control and a firm grip are also used on the spine of the blade (thumb ramp) and on the spacer of the liner (back stop).The blade is locked in place after opening by a monolithic frame lock , a mechanism considered one of the strongest and most reliable in the world.The handle of the knife is made of a simple stainless steel sheath with a stone-washed surface similar to the blade. This treatment consists of "bathing" the blade in grinding stones. The matt surface shows small scratches that perfectly hide any scratches caused by use.Despite the all-steel construction, the knife weighs only 112 g and is not uncomfortable to carry every day.
