Proven steel The 83 mm long blade is made of the popular 8Cr13MoV steel hardened to 57-59 HRC . This Chinese steel has good corrosion resistance and hardenability comparable to AUS6. The 8Cr13MoV steel blade is perfect for everyday use , due to corrosion resistance, good sharpness and easy sharpening, for which a pocket whetstone is enough. Functional blade The blade profile can be described as a modified drop-point version , with a strongly raised spine and a distinct toe milling. The massive 3 mm thick blade makes the knife also suitable for light field work or as a back-up of a survival knife . Oval cuts in the blade reduce its weight and allow the blade to be unfolded with the thumb. Thanks to the use of a strong point, a concave cut and a clearly rounded cutting edge, the knife has good cutting properties, and sharpening it creates a problem .
