The Kershaw Kershaw Fringe 8310 is a modern EDC knife , which uses 8Cr13MoV stainless steel , a mechanism supporting the unfolding of the blade , steel cladding enriched with carbon fiber and a strong frame-lock blockade. Proven steel The 76 mm long blade is made of the popular 8Cr13MoV steel hardened to 57-59 HRC . This Chinese steel has good corrosion resistance and hardenability comparable to AUS6. The 8Cr13MoV steel blade is perfect for everyday use , due to corrosion resistance, good sharpness and easy sharpening, for which a pocket whetstone is enough. Functional blade The knife has a slender blade with a usable drop-point profile , a distinct false blade and a milled thumb ramp. Thanks to the use of a strong point, a concave cut and a clearly rounded cutting edge, the knife has good cutting properties, and sharpening it creates a problem . The thickness of the blade at its widest point is 2.8 mm , which is a compromise between the durability and functionality of the knife in everyday work. The entire blade is covered with a ceramic coating of titanium nitride , which provides protection against weather conditions, the effects of salt water, is characterized by exceptional hardness, corrosion resistance and chemical stability (it does not change color with time). Quick disassembly The blade can be unfolded with one hand in two ways: with a milled flipper or using a double-sided pin , thus enabling the selection of a method according to our preferences. Both solutions are convenient for both right-handed and left-handed users, they also allow for convenient use of the knife with gloves. A mechanism supporting the unfolding of the blade The opening process is facilitated by the SpeedSafe support mechanism . When you press the pinball blade, the support mechanism activates an internal spring that dynamically unfolds the blade, making the knife ready for use in a fraction of a second. Blade lock The integrated frame-lock blockade , considered one of the most durable locking mechanisms, protects against accidental folding of the blade . The lock, just like the flipper, can be operated with one hand. Elegant grip The stainless steel claddings have been decorative milled along the entire perimeter, which ensures an attractive appearance and improves the grip of the knife. To protect the grip, similar to the blade, a carbon-titanium coating was used, thanks to which the knife has a very modern design. An element that attracts the attention of knife lovers is a decorative carbon fiber insert , which gives an elegant character and harmonizes perfectly with the color of the blade. In the rear part of the handle there is a hole for attaching a rope or a paracord braid . The standard clip allows you to carry the knife in your pocket every day , with the possibility of fixing it in 2 positions (left / right).
