Kershaw Grid 2200 is a large folder with a tactical design , equipped with a drop-point blade made of 8Cr13MoV steel , a mechanism supporting the unfolding of the blade and a solid frame-lock blockade . Robust stainless steel The 94 mm long blade is made of the popular 8Cr13MoV steel hardened to 57-59 HRC . This Chinese steel has good corrosion resistance and hardenability comparable to AUS6. The 8Cr13MoV steel blade is perfect for everyday use , due to corrosion resistance, good sharpness and easy sharpening, for which a pocket whetstone is enough. Functional blade The blade with a useful drop point profile , resembling a reverse tanto, is covered with a layer of black oxida, which partially protects the blade from scratching and gives it a tactical look. Thanks to the use of a strong point, a concave cut and a slightly rounded cutting edge, the knife has good cutting properties, and its sharpening is problematic . The strong tip easily penetrates and resists breakage. The thickness of the blade at its widest point is 3 mm, which is a compromise between the durability and functionality of the knife in everyday work. Comfort of use The blade can be quickly and conveniently unfolded with one hand using an enlarged flipper . The operation takes place in a very natural and easy way and enables comfortable use of the knife by right and left-handed people. On the back of the blade there are deep cutters that provide a stable point of support for the thumb during cutting. A mechanism supporting the unfolding of the blade The opening process is facilitated by the SpeedSafe support mechanism . When you press the pinball blade, the support mechanism activates an internal spring that dynamically unfolds the blade, making the knife ready for use in a fraction of a second. Blade lock The integrated frame-lock blockade , considered to be one of the most durable locking mechanisms, protects against accidental folding of the blade . The lock, just like the flipper, can be operated with one hand. A reliable lock is an important element that affects the functionality and safety of a folding knife. Steel cladding The knife has profiled stainless steel facings, covered with a titanium-carbon coating , with high corrosion and scratch resistance. The dark gray color of the lining perfectly harmonizes with the black oxidation of the blade, thanks to which the knife is distinguished by a very attractive and modern design . Everyday carrying of the knife in the pocket is possible thanks to the standard clip , which can be attached in 2 positions (left / right). The element that attracts attention is a concave spindle with a black finish.
