Light and handy design Kershaw Leek was created with everyday use in mind , which is clearly emphasized by its small size, light structure and typically functional style . The 76 mm long blade is made of Swedish 14C28N stainless steel hardened in the range of 58-60 HRC . Due to the high purity of the alloy , 14C28N steel is distinguished by high hardness, corrosion resistance and, importantly for the user, long-lasting working sharpness . The slim blade with an aggressive wharncliffe profile has a uniform, matte stonewashed finish . Thanks to the use of a narrow point, a concave cut and a cutting edge with an almost straight line, the knife has excellent cutting properties and the blade does not get stuck in the material . The thickness of the blade at its widest point is 3 mm, which is a compromise between the durability and functionality of the knife in everyday work. Comfort of use The blade can be unfolded with one hand in two ways : with a milled flipper or using a double-sided pin, thus enabling the selection of a method according to our preferences. Both solutions are convenient for both right and left-handed users, they also allow for convenient knife operation with gloves. The opening process is facilitated by the SpeedSafe support mechanism .
