Kershaw Volt 3655 is a valued EDC knife designed by RJ Martin, which uses a blade made of 8Cr13MoV steel, a folding mechanism and a durable frame-lock. Proven steel The Kershaw Volt was created for everyday use and outdoor use , which is clearly emphasized by its optimal size, solid construction and typically functional style . The 82 mm long blade is made of the popular 8Cr13MoV steel, hardened to 57-59 HRC . This Chinese steel has good corrosion resistance and hardenability comparable to AUS6. The 8Cr13MoV steel blade is perfect for everyday use, due to corrosion resistance, good sharpness and ease of sharpening, for which a pocket whetstone is enough. Utility blade The slender blade with a useful drop-point profile has been finished with the sandblasting method , which well masks minor scratches and abrasions caused during use. Thanks to the use of a strong point, a concave grind and a cutting edge with a gentle curvature, the knife has good cutting properties and the blade does not get stuck in the cut material . The thickness of the blade at its widest point is 3 mm, which is a compromise between the durability and functionality of the knife in everyday work. On the raised back of the blade, transverse cutters were cut, intended for stable finger support during work. Comfort of use The blade can be quickly unfolded with one hand using a milled flipper , just press the fin vigorously and the knife is ready to work. This simple solution is convenient for both right and left-handed users, it also allows for convenient operation of the knife with gloves. Mechanism supporting the unfolding of the blade The opening process is facilitated by the SpeedSafe assist mechanism . When you press down on the flipper fin, the assist mechanism activates an internal spring that dynamically extends the blade so that the knife is ready for use in a fraction of a second. Solid lock The monolithic frame-lock , considered to be one of the most durable locking mechanisms, effectively protects against accidental folding of the blade . The lock, like the flipper and pin, can be operated with one hand. Carrying clip Discreet carrying of the knife in the pocket is possible thanks to the steel clip, which can be fixed in 2 positions (up/down). There is also a hole on the handle for attaching a decorative paracord braid, which is very popular among most knife owners.
