Morakniv Eldris Light Duty gray is a compact neck knife made of Sandvik 12C27 steel and durable polymer. Little modification, big difference Morakniv Eldris Light Duty is a modernized version of the outdoor Eldris knife, intended, as the name suggests, for everyday use . Eldris Light Duty has retained all the main features of its predecessor, i.e. compact size, steel type and functional form. The main difference lies in the change of profile grinding , on a uniform cut for Scandinavian k and which is better suited for everyday use and can be sharpened much faster. Swedish stainless steel The head of the Eldris knife is made of Swedish Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel , with a similar carbon level to the popular 440A steel, but with much less contamination. Due to the optimal hardness (57-59 HRC) , resistance to abrasion and corrosion and the regular distribution of carbides, the Sandvik 12C27 steel blade stays sharp for quite a long time and is easy to sharpen even with a pocket sharpener . Scandinavian cut The blade of the Eldris Light Duty knife has a usable drop-point profile and a traditional Scandinavian cut , characterized by excellent cutting properties and simple, even intuitive sharpening. The knife is perfect as a discreet everyday tool , a handy knife in a toolbox, as well as an outdoor backup. Comfortable handle The handle is made of hard TPU rubber , a material resistant to weather conditions, mechanical damage and active chemicals. The profiled shape of the grip and fine grating ensure high grip and comfort of use. In the rear part of the grip there is a hole for attaching a line or a decorative braid . Polymer sheath The knife is carried by an injection molded polymer sheath . The sheath comes with a paracord cord that allows the knife to be worn around the neck or used for other purposes.
