The satin finish 440C stainless steel drop point blade opens using a traditional technique, i.e. a nail cut out. The 440C stainless steel blade has good edge retention and sharpening is easy and requires no experience. The short, wide blade is great for opening packages, cutting boxes, cords, and other undemanding tasks we often face in everyday life. The back of the blade features a cross groove (jimping) that provides a stable resting point for the thumb or index finger. The knife has a steel liner lock that prevents the blade from folding during use, and the handle is made of G10 plastic liners. The liners have anatomical cutouts for 3 fingers, which ensure a comfortable and secure grip of the knife regardless of the size of the hand. As befits a thoroughbred edc knife, the Walther MK40 has a spring-loaded deep carry clip that allows the knife to be carried comfortably in a pocket.
