The Benchmade 200 Puukko is an outdoor and hiking knife that combines classic Finnish style with modernity and the performance that Benchmade products are known for.The Puukko is a tool that all bushcraft and survival enthusiasts will especially appreciate. However, because of the knife's typical utility, the Benchmade 200 Puukko can be used for virtually any outdoor activity, such as camping, fishing, hiking, backpacking and hunting.The blade is made from a single piece of steel ( full-tang construction ), which ensures the knife has high tension resistance and prevents breakage or damage during operation. The drop point profile and high flat cut emphasize the utility of the knife. The grinding used is not typical of Scandi, but it ensures high efficiency and very good cutting properties. The blade is made of CPM-3V carbide steel , surpassing all materials used by Benchmade so far.The CPM-3V carbide steel is hardened in the range of 58-60 HRC , which guarantees a very long maintenance of high working life. It also features high load resistance, providing maximum resistance to abrasion, cracking and fracture. Its parameters are similar to those of S7 and A9 premium steels and it is an excellent alternative to A2, D2 and CPM M4. Unlike classic powder steel, CPM 3V is not stainless steel, so it is worth taking proper care of the blade and maintaining it regularly.The handle of the knife is made of rubberized sandoprene material with a non-slip textured surface, which guarantees a comfortable and firm grip while working.
