The Benchmade 470-1 Emissary is a small EDC knife , equipped with a CPM-S30V steel blade , a mechanism supporting the unfolding of the blade and a proven axis lock. Exclusive steel The satin drop-point blade is made of the valued CPM-S30V stainless steel. S30V powder steel by Crucible Industries is hardened to the optimal hardness of 58-60 HRC , which is why it maintains high sharpness for a long time, has high mechanical strength, and is also resistant to corrosion . Thanks to the high content of vanadium carbides, the steel is distinguished by high impact strength, abrasion resistance and excellent cutting properties. Practical blade The knife has a 76 mm blade with a useful drop-point profile , finished with a satin finish, which well masks minor scratches and abrasions caused during use. Good cutting properties and excellent penetration of the knife is due to the use of an aggressive point, flat grind and edges with a gentle curvature. Easy unfolding The opening process is facilitated and accelerated by the assist mechanism . Gently lifting the two-sided pin activates an internal spring that dynamically extends the blade . Such functionality means that the knife is ready to work in a fraction of a second. Two locks The flagship Benchmade mechanism, the double-sided Axis-lock lock , is responsible for work safety , valued for its enormous mechanical strength, resistance to dirt and ease of use for right and left-handed users. Comfortable handle The knife has anodized aluminum cladding , which is attached to steel liners, responsible for the rigidity and strength of the structure.
