The Airlock 1385 model is an everyday use folder , from a line of inexpensive knives with a modern design, made of 4Cr14 steel and equipped with the SpeedSafe system responsible for supporting the opening of the blade. Proven steel The 76 mm long blade is made of solid 4Cr14 steel hardened to a hardness of 55-57 HRC . This Chinese stainless steel is characterized by high resistance to corrosion , keeps sharpness for a relatively short time, which, however, perfectly compensates for the ease and speed of sharpening . Such steel properties make Kershaw Airlock 1385​ designed for less demanding users and people who are just starting their adventure with the outdoors and the EDC issue. The low weight, handy size and utility character of the knife make this model perfect for simple everyday tasks, e.g. at work, at home, on a trip and in the forest. Functional blade The slim blade with a useful drop-point profile has a matte stonewashed finish (a bath in abrasive stones), which effectively masks minor scratches or abrasions of the blade caused during use. Thanks to the use of a strong point, a concave grind and a cutting edge with a gentle curvature, the knife has good cutting and penetrating properties , and the blade does not get stuck in the cut material. The thickness of the blade at its widest point is 2.8 mm, which is a compromise between the durability and functionality of the knife in everyday work. Transverse cutters made on the back of the blade allow for stable finger support during work.
