The Kershaw Chill 3410 is a very lightweight, minimalist edc knife designed in collaboration with the popular knife maker RJ Martin, which has been making excellent utility knives for years.Proven steelThe narrow, 79 mm long blade is made from the popular 8Cr13MoV steel, hardened to 57-59 HRC.The 8Cr13MoV steel blade is perfect for everyday use due to its corrosion resistance, good sharpness and easy sharpening with just a pocketknife.The knife's thin blade has a usable drop point profile, sandblasted to cover minor scratches and abrasions caused by use. Part of the blade's spine (at the base) is raised, allowing the thumb to rest comfortably while working.Good cutting properties and excellent penetration of the knife are due to the aggressive tip, high concave cut and fine curvature of the cutting edge.Convenience of useThe blade can be quickly extended with one hand by means of an enlarged frog foot , just press the flipper firmly and the knife is ready for work. This simple solution is convenient for both right- and left-handed users and also allows for comfortable, glove-like handling of the knife.Robust and safeAfter the blade is extended, it locks securely with the lock mechanism. The steel blockade band provides a high level of safety and its operation is very intuitive and comfortable. The glass-epoxy laminate used is characterised by its low weight, high mechanical strength, water resistance, resistance to temperature changes and resistance to a wide range of acids and solvents.The profiled shape of the handle , the finger notch and the fine grids keep the knife very firmly in the hand and make it very comfortable to use. The handle is slim and narrow, making it practically unnoticeable when carried in an everyday pocket.The handle has a hole for attaching the decorative paracord braid , which is very popular with most knife owners.
