Premium stainless steel The 82 mm long blade is made of CPM-S20V powder steel hardened to a hardness of 59-61 HRC. CPM-S20V is an American "super steel" whose parameters correspond to the elite stainless steel Bohler M390. Thanks to the high content of chromium and a large amount of vanadium carbides, the blade is characterized by exceptionally good resistance to corrosion and wear, and a very long retention of sharpness . When choosing a knife made of such steel, it is worth getting a diamond sharpener, because sharpening using a standard ceramic whetstone can be very laborious and ineffective. The blade has a matte finish using the stonewashed method (a bath in abrasive stones). The process perfectly masks any scratches and abrasions caused during use. The drop-point blade has a cutting edge with a gentle curvature , a concave grind and a durable tip, which is why the cut is smooth, and the knife will be perfect as an element of our EDC. The thickness of the blade at its widest point is 3 mm, which is a compromise between the durability and functionality of the knife in everyday work. Comfort of use The blade can be conveniently unfolded with one hand using a flipper , thanks to which, after taking it out of the pocket, the knife is immediately ready to work. This solution is convenient for both right and left-handed users, it also allows for comfortable operation of the knife with gloves . The opening process is facilitated by the SpeedSafe assist mechanism . When you press down on the flipper fin, the assist mechanism activates an internal spring that dynamically unfolds the blade, making the knife ready for action in a split second . Comfortable grip The handle of the knife is made of durable 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum, which has been anodized in olive green. The linings were attached to steel liners, responsible for the stiffness and strength of the structure. The profiled shape of the grip and fine texturing make the knife very secure in the hand and its use is very comfortable. At the back of the handle there is a hole for attaching a decorative paracord tail, which makes it easier and faster to pull the knife out of the pocket.
