However, due to the high hardening properties and toughness of the CPM-S35VN steel, the use of diamond stones is recommended for sharpening.The blade is protected with a black DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) wear resistant coating which reduces wear and prevents corrosion. Thanks to the strong tip, the slight curvature of the edge and the flat grinding, the blade penetrates perfectly and provides very good cutting properties.The thickness of the blade at its widest point is 3 mm, which is a compromise between the durability and functionality of the knife in everyday work.
