The Satake Satoru Bunka Chef's Knife is a large kitchen tool with a 20 cm long blade , versatile in use, enabling very efficient cutting of meat, fish, vegetables and fruits.
The blade is made of stainless molybdenum-vanadium steel hardened to a hardness of 56-58 HRC . Thanks to the addition of molybdenum, the steel has a high resistance to corrosion and wear.
The full flat grind and sharp tip mean that the knife can be used for portioning chicken, filleting smaller fish, as well as separating meat from bones. The 20 cm long blade cuts over a larger surface, which guarantees high control over the knife.
The knife is perfectly balanced , therefore, despite the weight of 175 g, the hand does not get tired even after longer work.
The handle of the knife is made of bakelite linings filled with wood flour, attached to a full tang with rivets. Bakelite is the progenitor of modern plastics, distinguished by high resistance to scratches and high temperatures.
