The Walther Q5 Steel Frame Blackwash is a tactical folder with a D2 carbon steel head, whose design is inspired by the Walther Q5 Steel Frame sporting pistol.
The Walther Q5 Steel Frame is a massive folding knife with tactical styling that is great for everyday use or as a backup outdoor tool.

The blade is made of hard D2 tool steel hardened to 60 HRC. D2 is a carbon steel with the highest corrosion resistance, which is characterized by high abrasion resistance, long maintenance of working sharpness and aggressive cutting. When choosing a knife made of such steel, it is worth getting a diamond sharpener, as sharpening with a standard ceramic whetstone can be very labor-intensive and inefficient.
The Walther Q5 has a symmetrical spear-point profile blade with a black stonewash finish, which eliminates glare and emphasizes the tactical purpose of the knife. The knife owes its good cutting qualities and excellent penetration to a flat grind, a cutting edge with a gentle curve and a strong hilt.

The blade can be unfolded with one hand by means of a double-sided peg, a method convenient for both right- and left-handed users The monolithic frame-lock, considered one of the safest locks used in folding knives, effectively protects the blade from accidental folding. The locking of the blade is done by one of the liners, which rests against the base of the blade.
The knife has steel facings finished in black stonewash and enhanced with FRN plastic inserts. The non-slip texturing of the liners is identical to that applied by the manufacturer to the grip of the Walther Q5 pistol. The fine grid provides excellent grip and prevents the knife from slipping from a sweaty or wet hand. A flat clip is attached to the handle, which can be flipped to the other side, allowing the knife to be carried discreetly in a pocket, belt or equipage.
