Lightweight and handy design
The Kershaw Leek was created with everyday use in mind, which is clearly emphasized by its small size, lightweight construction and typically functional style. The 76mm long blade is made of Swedish 14C28N stainless steel hardened between 58-60 HRC. Due to the high purity of the alloy, 14C28N steel is distinguished by its high hardness, corrosion resistance and, importantly for the user, long retention of working sharpness.
The slim blade with an aggressive Reverse Tanto profile has a striking BlackWash (black oxidation) finish, which effectively masks any scratches or abrasions to the blade from use. Thanks to the use of a narrow tip, concave grind and a cutting edge with an almost straight line, the knife has excellent cutting properties, and the blade does not wedge in the material. The thickness of the blade at its widest point is 2.3 mm, which is a compromise between durability and functionality of the knife in everyday work.
