The Satake Satoru Santoku knife is a versatile kitchen tool with a 17 cm blade for cutting meat, fish and vegetables.
The blade is made of stainless molybdenum-vanadium steel hardened to a hardness of 56-58 HRC . Thanks to the addition of molybdenum, the steel has a high resistance to corrosion and wear.
The double-sided symmetrical cut and the sharp tip mean that the knife can be used for portioning chicken, filleting smaller fish, as well as separating meat from bones. The blade with an optimal length of 17 cm cuts over a larger surface, which guarantees high control over the knife.
The wide blade makes it easier to transfer cut products to dishes, it can also be used to crush garlic. Large dimensions make Satoru Santoku perfect for cutting larger fruits and vegetables, e.g. cabbage, watermelon or zucchini.
The high grip protects the knuckles from contact with the board. The handle of the knife is made of bakelite linings filled with wood flour, attached to the tang with rivets.
Bakelite is the progenitor of modern plastics, distinguished by high resistance to scratches and high temperatures.
