The Walther BNK 3 is an uncompromising outdoor tool from the Black Nature Knife series that effectively bridges the gap between a utility knife and a machete.
Walther Black Nature Knife series knives are solid utility tools made of high quality materials, incl. 440C stainless steel and Pakkawood laminate, which will work well in many forms of outdoor activity.
Walther BNK 3 is aimed at enthusiasts of bushcraft, survival, scouts, and people who want to reduce the weight of the equipment carried.
Corrosion-resistant steel
The knife head is made of the popular 440C stainless steel , hardened in the 57-59 HRC range . Due to the increased carbon content, the steel is wear-resistant, retains its sharpness for a long time (good retention), and is also relatively quick and easy to sharpen, which is important for a utility knife.
Resistant to damage
Walther BNK 2 has a full tang construction (so-called full tang). This term is used to describe knives whose blade and tang are made of one piece of steel. Knives of this construction are characterized by high durability and resistance to damage, which is why they are usually used for hard work by survival enthusiasts, bushcraft, soldiers and hunters.
Start where others leave
The above words are the motto of the Walther BNK 3, a knife that was created for hard work, among others for chopping, grubbing and a bar. The blade of the BNK 3 model is inspired by the utility kukri knife used in Tibet for chopping wood, digging and trimming game. The knife has a wide, characteristic curved blade, 4.7 mm thick, which, like the kukri, generates high kinetic energy during chopping. The result is that we don't have to put so much effort into the work done. The satin finish blade has 2 separate cutting edges: the front for chopping (the center of gravity is shifted forward) and the middle - designed for cutting and planing.
Ergonomic grip
The knife has ergonomic black Pakkawood composite grips attached to the mandrel with screws. Pakkawood is a durable wood-based laminate impregnated with phenolic thermosetting resins.
The handle with a length of up to 130 mm has a profiled shape, with a distinct undercut for a finger, which guarantees a stable grip of the knife and the comfort of its use. The hole in the back of the spindle can be used to weave a decorative braid or a securing cable.
A nylon sheath fastened with press studs is used to comfortably carry the knife at the waist.TECHNICAL DATA
