Walther BWK 1 is a large EDC knife with a folding blade , made of 440C stainless steel and walnut wood. High quality stainless steel The knife blade is made of popular 440C stainless steel, hardened in the range of 57-59 HRC. Thanks to the increased carbon content, the steel is wear-resistant, retains its working sharpness for a long time, and is sharpened relatively quickly and easily, which is important in the case of a knife for field work. The blade is covered with a titanium protective coating, which additionally protects against corrosion and aesthetically contrasts with wooden cladding. Easy to cut The knife has a long blade (94 mm) with a useful drop-point profile , with a flat cut and a clearly rounded belly of the cutting edge. This combination guarantees smooth and easy cutting, high durability of the point, and the versatility of the knife's applications. There is a transverse milling on the back, which allows you to rest your finger during work (thumb ramp). Folding blade The blade is unfolded using two hands, using a nail cutout. This classic solution has been used for several decades, e.g. in pocket knives and allows you to carry it legally in most EU countries. Strong lock When unfolded, the blade is locked with a liner-lock mechanism . After unfolding the blade, the spring lining acts as a lock, which rests against the back of the blade, thus preventing it from folding. Liner-lock is valued for its simplicity, reliability and resistance to heavy loads. Wooden handle The knife has elegant walnut wood cladding with a matte finish . The handle has a profiled shape, with a clear cut for a finger, which effectively improves the grip of the knife and the comfort of its use. The classic design is subtly broken by blue anodized liners, characteristic of the entire Blue Wood Knives series. The knife is carried in a leather sheath with a wide belt loop and a snap fastener.
