The blade made from this steel is perfect for EDC knives because it resists wear and corrosion, has a long life and is relatively easy to sharpen. CPM-S35VN contains niobium carbides which, when combined with carbon, increase the hardness of the steel by 15-20% (compared to CPM-S30V steel). The addition of vanadium improves strength and toughness and creates fine-grained carbides of high hardness, which increase the blade's edge-holding capacity. Molybdenum is another important element in the alloy that affects wear resistance. To facilitate and speed up the sharpening process, we recommend the use of diamond sharpeners, e.g. AZ ÉL point sharp 10-30°. The blade is stonewashed (sandblasted), with an irregular texture that hides minor scratches caused by the use of the knife. The curvature of the blade with this profile is clearly visible at the cutting edge and the tip rises above the ridge line. The strongly pronounced belly of the blade provides excellent cutting properties and therefore works well as a cutting, skinning and filleting tool. The full-size 86 mm long blade guarantees functionality and comfort during everyday use.Armour blockadeAfter deployment, the blade is securely locked with a monolithic frame lock with steel reinforcement insert , which also prevents excessive deflection of the blade. The Frame-lock is one of the most durable locking mechanisms, characterized by resistance to dirt and very comfortable operation.Titanium handleThe knife liners are made of lightweight titanium 6AL4V , a high mechanical strength alloy, resistant to high temperatures, corrosion, acid and seawater. The gentle profile of the handle and the wave-shaped milling provide a firm and comfortable grip and an elegant design.
