Zero Tolerance ZT 0357BW is a versatile knife for everyday use , which uses excellent CPM-20CV stainless steel , a mechanism that supports the unfolding of the blade , profiled G-10 facings and a proven liner-lock. Premium grade stainless steel The 83 mm long blade is made of CPM-S20V powder steel, hardened to a hardness of 59-61 HRC. CPM-S20V is a "supersteel" whose properties and specifications are similar to the elite stainless steel-Bohler M390. Thanks to the high content of chromium and a large amount of vanadium carbides, it is characterized by exceptionally good resistance to corrosion and wear, and a very long sharpening. When choosing a knife made of such steel, it is worth getting a diamond sharpener, because sharpening using a standard ceramic whetstone can be very laborious and ineffective. The wide blade with a useful drop-point profile has a matte Blackwashed finish . Black oxidation gives an effective appearance and partially protects against scratches caused during use. Thanks to the use of a strong tip and a flat grind , the blade penetrates perfectly and provides very good cutting properties . The thickness of the blade at the widest point is 4 mm, which guarantees resistance to damage and allows it to be used for heavier work. On the back of the blade there are transverse milling cutters that create a very stable place of support for the thumb or index finger. Comfortable unfolding The blade is unfolded with one hand using a milled flipper , a convenient solution for both right and left-handed users. Mechanism supporting the unfolding of the blade The opening process is facilitated by the SpeedSafe assist mechanism . When you press down on the flipper fin, the assist mechanism activates an internal spring that dynamically extends the blade so that the knife is ready for use in a fraction of a second.
